Duluth's Viral Tiny House Taken Off Market After Summer Of Mockery
The 205-square-foot house, first priced at $195,000, offered fodder for a parody Facebook account and at least one real estate influencer.

DULUTH, MN — The Duluth tiny house with a not-so-tiny price tag that went viral earlier this summer is off the market.
The listing for the 205-square-foot new construction home, originally priced at $195,000, was removed Aug. 24 from Zillow. The one-bedroom, one-bathroom house is also listed as off-market on Trulia and Realtor.com.
"I've literally used bigger sinks in my dentist's chair," said Instagram and TikTok user Jonathon Carson, who profiles wacky homes on his popular pages. "Why are we doing this in Duluth, Minnesota? Ya got room, babe.”

In addition to Carson’s commentary, the house inspired a parody Facebook account, operated under the name Tighe Niehaus, which offers humorous musings from the home’s perspective.
The price dropped to $182,500 less than a month after the house was first listed in June, according to Zillow.

Colorado-based Simply Tiny Development told the Star Tribune in a July article that it expected to sell the home at 804 N. 6th Ave. E. at a loss.
Simply Tiny was in the process last month of filing for bankruptcy, according to Northern News Now, which cited multiple sources. As of Thursday, the developer’s website was expired and its Instagram account was set to private.
