STEARNS COUNTY, MN — The 13-year-old boy killed in a central Minnesota "haunted hayride" earlier this month was a volunteer for the event, according to authorities.
Alexander Mick, of Rice, "was part of a group whose job was to frighten riders being pulled through the cornfield area," the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. "No one observed how the accident occurred."
Authorities believe "nothing of a criminal nature" happened and that the death is believed to be accidental.
