NEXT Weather: Wintry Mix Moves Into Metro Midday Sunday

MINNEAPOLIS -- Sunday starts mild, before a NEXT Weather Alert goes into effect due to a storm system that will pack a mixed bag of precipitation.

Sunday's high will reach 38 degrees in the Twin Cities. The system will reach the metro by the late afternoon, and will linger through Monday afternoon.

A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect across north-central Minnesota from Sunday evening through Monday evening. Impacted residents can expect wet and heavy snow, wind gusts exceeding 30 mph, and poor travel conditions.
