1 Arrested In Abduction Of Pregnant Woman, 4 Children In MN
Nikkole Dobson and her children were taken by her boyfriend, Chad Aanerud, according to an Amber Alert issued Friday morning.
CROW WING COUNTY, MN — A 35-year-old man was arrested Friday after authorities said he abducted a pregnant woman and her four children at gunpoint in Brainerd.
Chad Aanerud took Nikkole Dobson, 33, and children ages 14, 11, 7, and 3, according to investigators.
An Amber Alert was sent out across Minnesota at about 6:30 a.m. Friday. That alert was canceled after Aanerud was taken into custody in Morrison County.

Dobson and her children were found safe, authorities said.
At around 1:50 a.m., Aanerud — who authorities identified as Dobson's boyfriend — arrived at a residence on the 15000 block of Loerch Road where Dobson and her children were staying, according to state authorities.

He fired a rifle round into the ceiling of the residence and forced Dobson and her children to leave with him, investigators said.
Aanerud is also suspected of fatally shooting a man at a separate nearby residence and burning down a home on that property, according to authorities.
