Repeat Sex Offender Who Lured Child From Duluth Park Gets 22 Years
The 33-year-old previously admitted guilt in a 2021 sex offense but avoided prison with a stay of adjudication.

DULUTH, MN — A Duluth man has been sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for coercing a child into sex after meeting her at a local park, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.
Dillon Alvan Reyna, 33, was sentenced in U.S. District Court by Judge Jeffrey M. Bryan to 264 months in prison followed by 15 years of supervised release.
Prosecutors said Reyna targeted a girl under the age of 16 who was already receiving care for prior abuse.

Over several months in 2022, Reyna manipulated and coerced the child into sex, gave her gifts and rides conditioned on her “cooperation,” and secretly recorded the assaults, according to court documents.
Reyna previously admitted guilt in a 2021 St. Louis County case for third-degree criminal sexual conduct involving force or coercion, but he avoided prison after being granted a stay of adjudication.

Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson said Reyna’s conduct was part of a "disturbing rash" of men in Minnesota attempting to exploit children.
The case was investigated by the FBI, Duluth Police Department, and Hermantown Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys David B. Green and Evan B. Gilead prosecuted the case.
