Vaccine Data Released For Minnesota Kids Ages 5 To 11
Children ages 5 to 11 became eligible to receive the vaccine in early November. Kids under 5 are still not yet eligible.
ACROSS MINNESOTA — At least 23 percent of Minnesota children ages 5 to 11 have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest data from the state Department of Health.
One percent of kids in that age range have completed their vaccine series.
- MN kids 5-11 with at least one dose: 115,542, or 23 percent
- MN kids 5-11 who completed their vaccine series: 6,118, or 1 percent

The state of Minnesota Wednesday launched a new website that will allow parents to schedule a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine appointment for 5- to 11-year-olds. The site — "Vax for Kids" — went live after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved a smaller dose of the vaccine for kids under 12. Children 4 and under are not yet eligible for the vaccine.
