2 Boys Lacrosse Players Headed to Minnesota-Duluth Next Season

One player from Apple Valley and one from Eastview will play boys lacrosse for the Bulldogs in 2013.

Two high school boys lacrosse players from Apple Valley plan to join the University of Minnesota-Duluth men's lacrosse team as college freshmen next season, according to a report from LaxPower.com.

's Blake Brogberg and 's Jake Heppner are set to play with the Bulldogs beginning in 2013.

Broberg is slated to earn his fourth varsity letter at Apple Valley this season, and also has played with the JaxxFrost club team. He was chosen to play in the Chicago Lacrosse Cup all-star game, the article says.

Assistant head coach Sam Litman said the coaching staff is "looking for him to make an immediate impact with his dominating size and mobility."

Heppner, who also played on the JaxxFrost team, was all-South Suburban Conference last year and in the Chicago Lacrosse Cup all-star game, the article says.

"I picked Duluth because I really like the school and the lacrosse program is extremely competitive," Heppner said in the article.
