Mohamed, Virnig, Coulson Lead In ISD 196 School Board Election

The results won't be official until they are certified by the Secretary of State.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Sakawdin Mohamed, Bianca Virnig and Art Coulson are in the lead in the race for ISD 196's School Board, according to unofficial race results.

Voters were tasked with selecting three candidates out of the 13 still in the race.

The terms of Craig Angrimson, Art Coulson and Mike Roseen expire in January, according to the district's website. Both Angrimson and Coulson are running for re-election.

Rebecca Gierok, Jessica Turner and Kaia Ziegler all withdrew from the race, however their names remained on the ballot due to the timing of their withdrawals. This means there were technically 16 options for ISD 196 voters.
