7 File for 4 Open Seats on District 196 School Board
The four people currently sitting in the seats that will be on November's ballot all filed for re-election, while three newcomers also joined the race.

Seven candidates have filed for four open seats on the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district board that will be up for election in November.
The four incumbents that currently occupy the seats in question all filed their candidacy for re-election; their terms expire Jan. 2. They are:
- Joel Albright, of Apple Valley, eight-year board member
- Rob Duchscher, of Rosemount, 12-year board member
- Jackie Magnuson, of Rosemount, 22-year board member
- Bob Schutte, of Apple Valley, 24-year board member
Three newcomers also have thrown their hats into the ring as challengers for the school board seats. They are:

- Steven Butler, of Eagan
- Fay Coggshall, of Apple Valley
- Gary Krueger, of Eagan
The filing period for the race closed at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Whoever is elected in November will occupy a school board seat from January 2012 until January 2016.
