Apple Valley High School Hires New Boys Lacrosse Coach

Michael Evans has been an assistant coach at Benilde-St. Margaret's for the past two seasons.

has hired Michael Evans as its new boys lacrosse head coach, according to a press release from the school.

Evans has spent the last two seasons as an offensive coordinator and assistant boys lacrosse coach at , the release says. During Evans' time coaching at Benilde, the team won two state championships and was the 2011 North Suburban Conference Academic Champion.

He's also a is a graduate of Benilde, as well as the University of Minnesota Duluth; he played Division I lacrosse at Quinnipiac University before finishing his career and degree at UMD.

Evans also has coached with the St. Johns University mens lacrosse club and was the co-head coach for the Minnesota Elite Rising Sophomore Team.
