Bathtub Races in Rosemount, Chris Isaak Brings 'Wicked Games' to MNZoo

Don't miss out. Here are the top five events of this week in Apple Valley and Rosemount.
• Rosemount will ring in the arrival of a new business, the yogurt bar franchise CherryBerry. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on Monday, July 22, at 4 p.m. The new CherryBerry is located at 3716 150th Street, in the strip mall containing Cub Foods.
• Meanwhile, one lucky contestant will $500 during the Leprechaun’s Lost Medallion Hunt. The seven-day hunt begins Monday, July 22, at 9 a.m. when the first clue will be released. A new clue will be issued daily until the medallion is found. This event is part of Rosemount's Leprechaun Days. For more information, go the the organization's website.• Relive the hottest days of the 1980s with a concert by sultry crooner Chris Isaak. Isaak performs at 7:30 p.m. at the in Weesner Family Amphitheater, 13000 Zoo Boulevard in Apple Valley. This is an all ages event.
• Leprechaun Days takes a wacky turn on Tuesday, July 23, with the annual Bathtub Races and family night. The fun begins at 5 p.m. Races start at 6:30 p.m. in Rosemount's Central Park. The idea is this: Three-person teams race bathtubs on wheels through an obstacle course, while the crowd tosses water balloons. Be advised. Spectators are not allowed to bring their own water balloons. Balloons will be sold (five for $1) to raise money for One Rosemount Feeding Families.
• On Thursday, another concert is scheduled for Apple Valley, this time the Minneapolis Police Band. The band will perform at 7 p.m. at Apple Valley Villa, 14610 Garrett Avenue.
