Apple Valley-based Kids 'n Kinship is always looking for mentors for local children.

Living Situation: She lives with her mom, her dad—who works nights—and her three brothers in Farmington. She is in third grade and struggles with friendships.

Goals: Crystal wish is for a mentor, as she’s the only girl in her family and often has no one to play with. Crystal‘s mom is hopeful that a mentor can support Crystal and help her self esteem.
Looking For: An individual woman who can be Crystal's friend and who will encourage her.
For More Information: Crystal is one of almost 50 children waiting for a mentor through Kids ‘n Kinship, a private nonprofit serving Apple Valley, Burnsville, Eagan, Farmington, Lakeville and Rosemount in Dakota County for 39 years. If you're interested in becoming a mentor, you're invited to attend an information session from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Wescott Library in Eagan. Mentors can volunteer as individuals, couples, or families for weekly fun and enriching activities at home or in the community on their own schedules.
