New Photos: Eastview Girls Advance in State Basketball With Win Against St. Michael

The Lightning won 55-41 in its first game of the state tournament on Wednesday.

The girls basketball team will advance to state semifinals in Class 4A after defeating St. Michael-Albertville 55-41 in Wednesday's quarterfinal game.

The Lightning will meet No. 1 seed Hopkins at 6 p.m. Friday at the Target Center. Hopkins beat Lakeville North 51-29 in its first state game earlier on Wednesday.

The winner of that game will advance to the state final at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Against St. Michael, Madison Guebert and Paige Palkovich led the Lightning with 15 points apiece; Amber Mehr had 10.
