
The Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a special meeting for its member businesses from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 20) regarding the city's plans to select either a special assessment or a tax levy increase to fund future road reconstruction in the city.
The meeting will take place at in Apple Valley.
City officials will make a presentation on the topic, which involves determining how to fund an additional $960,000 per year for 10 years for road reconstruction. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

A vote on the funding method is scheduled for an Apple Valley City Council vote at the council's 8 p.m. Tuesday meeting.
"We won't dispute the need, but rather the urgency," a Chamber memo says; Chamber leadership hopes the vote could be delayed to further discuss the financial impact on businesses.
