More showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight before 1 a.m., with as much as a half-inch possible and a low near 64.
- If you hit the today, pay particular attention to the tomatoes and the sweet corn, both of which are at their peak (and it’s been a great year for both). The market runs from 2 to 6 p.m. at 13885 Robert Trail S.

- The Rosemount Port Authority meets at 6 p.m. in City Hall. The agenda includes discussion of redevelopment of the former Continental Nitrogen (CNR) property and a draft economic development program.
- August 16, 1969, was the second day of the Woodstock festival in Bethel, N.Y. Among the acts that performed on the day: John Sebastian, Santana, Canned Heat, the Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, Sly and the Family Stone, the Who and Jefferson Airplane. Not a bad lineup.
