The weather gods will be smiling on the first day of Rosemount's 2011 Leprechaun Days.

- The only chance of rain today for Rosemount will come before 7 a.m., and it’s only a 20 percent likelihood, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise the skies will be partly sunny with a high near 88 and light southerly winds.
- Kick off the Leprechaun Days festivities with , presented by the Rosemount Puppet Wagon, all morning: 9:30 at Canfield Park, 10:15 at Connemara Park, 11 at Bloomfield Park and 11:45 at Jaycee Park. Admission is free.
- Between noon and 1, bring non-perishable food items and cash donations to Cub Foods in Rosemount and Rosemount City Hall for the fourth annual Share-a-Can food drive. The annual event benefits Rosemount’s two food shelves, 360 Communities and the CAP Agency.
- A three-night begins with square dance music and performers from 7 to 9 tonight in Central Park. Bring a blanket, but be ready to kick up your heels, too. Admission is free.
- A for seniors will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Rosemount Community Center. The tournament is sponsored by Rosemount Area Seniors, and everyone’s welcome. For more information, call (651) 423-1421.
