Today's temperature will make it feel like summer, but those high-temperature numbers are going to plummet as the week goes on.

- The National Weather Service says we’ll start the work and school week with a high today near 86, and southwest winds from 6 to 9 mph, increasing to 18 and 21 mph – with gusts possibly as high as 29 mph. Tonight’s low will be around 52, with more gusty winds, this time from the northwest.
- The Rosemount Utility Commission will hold its monthly meeting at 5:30 tonight in Rosemount City Hall. The commission is responsible for reviewing infrastructure development and operating budgets, and also handles residents’ concerns about utility matters.
- Rosemount Cub Scout Pack 270 will hold a from 6:30 to 8 tonight at the Rosemount American Legion, 14590 Burma Ave. W. Boys ages 6-11 interested in scouting can meet current scouts, learn about scouting and find out what’s coming up this school year.
- The at 6 tonight at Dakota Ridge School, 4629 144th St. W. in Apple Valley. On the agenda: reports on special education, elementary education, secondary education and the tax certification process, and the 2010-11 annual report on curriculum, instruction and student achievement. The public is welcome.
