Genesis Jazz Orchestra Will Perform In ArtBlast June 22

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Genesis Jazz Orchestra, an ensemble of Rosemount Community Band, announced that it will play a free concert June 22 in Rosemount.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the city's Central Park Bandshell as part of Rosemount Area Arts Council's ArtBlast, the ensemble said.

This is GJO's last performance of the season, it said.

ArtBlast is a week-long celebration of the arts and will include daily and nightly entertainment, activities, crafts, contests and more, GJO said.

Genesis Jazz Orchestra includes members from all over the southeast metro, it said. Many of its members are retired or current music educators, and many also have degrees in music, the ensemble said.

The ensemble said that it also plays at school jazz concerts and festivals, city band shells and parks and at Jazz Central Studios in Minneapolis.
