Giuseppe's Aiming to Open Next Week

The tables are ready, the bar is stocked, and soon Giuseppe's owner and chef Alex Awada will be able to fire up the kitchen for Rosemount customers.

"We're just waiting for the last paperwork to clear," said Awada on Wednesday. He said he was hopeful of a Wednesday opening, but the actual date could stretch into next weekend.

"I'll make the decision once I get final approval," he said. "But we're ready."

The approved the establishment's liquor license on Tuesday night, granting Giuseppe's the right to sell beer, wine and 3.2 percent liquor. A Sunday license was also granted.

This will be the second location for the popular Italian-style eatery. Awada also owns a location in Burnsville.

Giuseppe's is located at 15092 Claret Ave. in Rosemount.
