MN Zoo Begins Giving Animals COVID-19 Vaccines: Report

The Zoo plans to vaccinate around 100 animals deemed at-risk of COVID-19.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — The Minnesota Zoo has begun vaccinating its animals against the coronavirus, according to a report by The Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Dozens of animals will get vaccinated thanks to a donation from New Jersey-based animal health company Zoetis, the report said.

A moose was given her first dose of the vaccine Thursday, and the river otters and a ferret got their first dose Wednesday, the publication reported.
