From the Thorson family: "Great news! Munchie is safe! Her six-week adventure is over! She's lost about 30 pounds and is a walking tick fest but other than that, doing well. We got a call last week that a limping black Newfoundland was picked up in Apple Valley but turns out it was a different limping black Newfie. Munchie covered a lot of ground but last Thursday was seen back in the area from which she originally went missing. We were able to set a live trap and got the call later that night that a big black dog was in our trap. Such joyous news. So many people in the community helped in this search by sharing her story, handing out flyers, calling with sightings or just sending encouraging words to keep us motivated. We wish we could thank everyone in person because we know a lot of people have been following this girl's journey. It takes a village and we are so grateful for the village that brought Munchie home safely!"
