New Year, New Blog? Create a Blog on Apple Valley Patch
We're always looking to give more people in Apple Valley a place to post their personal written, photo and video blog entries.

Got a lot of new year's resolutions? Why not add one that's fun, easy and will strengthen your local community? I'm talking, of course, about blogging on Apple Valley Patch.
If you're a regular Patch reader, you're familiar with the blogging section launched on all Patch sites back in April. Essentially, it's an open community opinion page.
Since our blog section launched, we've gotten some fantastic contributors filling our Local Voices section, posting entries about everything from travel and the adventures of a new mom, to real estate and insurance tips. And we'd love to give more people in Apple Valley a place to post blog entries and communicate with their neighbors.

Intimidated by the idea? Don't be. Entries don't have to be profound, dissertation-length compositions (though if you're up for the challenge, we certainly wouldn't stop you!). You could write an entry of just a few sentences, even just a question to get a reader discussion going.
And any personal photos or videos you create are fair game as their own blog entries, as well.

For the most part, anything goes, if it's legal. We want bloggers to own their blogs. Apple Valley Patch doesn't own the blog content that bloggers post, meaning authors can repost their stuff on other sites. Note that those who blog on Apple Valley Patch aren't paid.
If you're already a prolific Apple Valley blogger—written, photo or video—create a place on Apple Valley Patch to get your entries out to new readers.
But even if you don't already blog, if you're have a particular interest, knowledge or passion (education, fishing, government, business, shopping, pets—literally, anything) let us help you start up a blog on the site.
Please visit this page to send me, Apple Valley Patch Editor Allison Wickler, a little more about yourself and your blogging interest. I look forward to hearing from you! Happy New Year, and happy blogging!
