Rosemount Named One Of 'Best Places To Live' In U.S.: Money
Money released a list of 50 U.S. cities that it deems the best places to live in the U.S.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — Rosemount was recently named one of the best places to live in the U.S. by Money, a magazine that specializes in finance strategies.
Rosemount ranked #32 on the list.
Minnesota had three cities that made the list, with Chanhassen leading the ranks at #1.

Woodbury also made the list at #29.
Money said it used the following to rank cities:

- They only used cities and towns with populations between 25,000-500,000
- They eliminated cities that:
- Had a crime risk over 1.5x the national average
- Had a median income level is lower than its state's median
- Had a declining population
- Had no ethnic diversity
- Once the list was down to roughly 1,300 cities, Money considered:
- Cost of Living
- Economic opportunity
- Diversity
- Education
- Fun (aka amenities)
- Health & safety
- Housing market
- Income & personal finances
- Quality of life
- Last year's top five cities were disqualified.
