Sheriff's Office Is Investigating Suspicious Park Fires: Report

Six of the fires occurred in Rosemount, according to reports.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — The Dakota County Sheriff's Office recently said that it is investigating a string of suspicious fires in parks throughout the county.

Six of these fires occurred in the Lone Rock Trail area in Rosemount, according to a report by The St. Paul Pioneer Press.

All the fires occurred within a week and a half, and a captain of the Sheriff's Office said there is evidence pointing to suggest the fires were set intentionally, the publication reported.

Deputies weren't able to get surveillance of the fires, but the office has added cameras and increased patrols in the area, the report said.
