Super Bowl Sunday is Coming—What Are You Cooking?
Help Apple Valley Patch put together a list of lip-smacking snacks that readers can whip up for the big game.

I'm still looking for submissions for a Patch Super Bowl cook book—post your recipes in our comments section, or email them to allison.wickler@patch.com if you prefer.

Confession: I'm not very excited for this year's Super Bowl—the game portion, anyway. If you've read , you know I'm from Wisconsin, so that must mean I'm... a Packers fan.

Yep. (Take a few moments here for your "haha, sucker!" thoughts.)
Yes, my team choked this year. But I do generally enjoy getting together with my friends to watch football. Plus there's the commercials and the Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl if the game really starts to bum me out.

And of course, there are the snacks. No matter what, the Super Bowl is a great reason to cook up some mouthwatering dips, hors d'oeuvres, slow cooker creations or other treats.
Some of my fellow Patch editors and I would like to get together a collection of your favorite party-food recipes and create a sort of cookbook to post for all our readers.
Post recipes in the comments section below so all our readers can try them out. If you've taken a picture of your dish that you also would like to post, we'd love to see them. (And a few brownie points if you've got a scrumptious recipe that is healthy, too, but I certainly won't discriminate.)
I'll get the ball rolling with my go-to party food:
Pepperoni Dip
- 1 10-3/4 oz. can cream of celery soup
- 1 6-oz. package of pepperoni, chopped (a little more is definitely OK)
- 1 8-oz. package of cream cheese, softened and cubed
- Crackers (I like Triscuits for this, personally)
Combine the first three ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for about two hours, then set the cooker on the "warm" setting and people can munch on crackers and dip throughout the party. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
