Town Traditions: Apple Valley's Family Aquatic Center

APPLE VALLEY, MN — Among the many reasons why Apple Valley is such a great town to raise a family is its array of kid-friendly amenities, such as the city's Family Aquatic Center and Pool.

The facility features a giant swimming pool, epic slides, a "sprayground," concessions, and more:

• Play Features
• Drop Slide
• River Tubing
• Water Features
• Lazy River
• Drop Slide
• Bowl Slide
• Body Slide

Activities include water walking and lap swimming. Groups can also reserve the pool after-hours throughout the season.

The center is set to open for the summer on June 8 and will close on Aug. 25. The hours Monday through Sunday are 11 a.m. through 6 p.m., but the center will close during dangerous weather or if the temperature is 65 degrees or colder.

The cost is $13 per person, but infants 12 months or younger get in free.
