APPLE VALLEY/ROSEMOUNT, MN — A winter weather warning was issued for Dakota County by National Weather Service.
Between 7 to 11 inches of snow is set to fall in Apple Valley and Rosemount on Friday, according to the localized forecast provided by the National Weather Service.
Snow will arrive in Apple Valley and Rosemount after 10 a.m., making for slick roads and reduced visibility. Be sure to slow down and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Thursday night: It will be mostly cloudy with a low around 22. There will be light winds.
Friday: It will begin to snow, heavily at times, after 10 a.m. There is a 100 percent chance of precipitation and the high will be near 29 degrees. Around 3-7 inches of snow is possible.
Friday night: It will snow, heavily at times, before midnight. The low will be 20 degrees and there will be a 90 percent chance of precipitation. Between 4-6 inches of snow is possible.
Saturday: There is a 20 percent chance of snow before noon. It will then be partly sunny with a high of 28 degrees, before becoming gradually sunnier. There will be 10 mph winds.
Saturday night: It will be mostly clear with a low of 23 degrees. There will be winds of 10 mph.
Sunday: It will be sunny with a high of 36 degrees and 10-15 mph winds.
