Your Guide To Voting In ISD 196's School Board Election

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Election Day is here, which means residents of Independent School District 196, which encompasses Eagan, Apple Valley and Rosemount, are voting for three school board members out of 13 candidates.

Polls will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 2.

Early in-person voting began Tuesday.

For early voting, visit the district office, located at 3455 153rd Street West in Rosemount, or the County Administration Center on Highway 55 in Hastings.

You can drop off your mail-in ballot until 3 p.m. on Nov. 2.

You can drop off your mail-in ballot in the week leading up to the election at Dakota County's Administration Center at 1590 Hwy 55 in Hastings, the Western Service Center at 14955 Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley or the Northern Service Center at 1 Mendota Road West in West St. Paul.

Agent delivery

• In special situations, the following residents may have somebody deliver their ballot for them:
  • Live in a nursing home, assisted living facility, residential treatment center, women's shelter or group home
  • Be hospitalized
  • Be unable to go to the polling place due to incapacitating health reasons or disability
• The person must be at least 18 years old, have a personal relationship to you and cannot be a candidate on the ballot.

Rebecca Gierok, Jessica Turner and Kaia Ziegler have all withdrawn from the race, however their names may still appear on the ballot.
