• Resident arrested after early morning fire at Fridley care facility (hometownsource.com) — Blaine residents should know local officers helped track down a suspected arsonist after an early morning fire at a Fridley care facility on East River Road. Working with neighboring departments, including Spring Lake Park and Coon Rapids, police quickly set a perimeter, arrested the resident nearby, and transported another resident to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries while state and county investigators continue the case.
