Preschool Lab is a course offered at Burnsville High School for preschool children from the community. 

High school students, under the direction of Family and Consumer Sciences teachers, gain experience teaching and working with children in a preschool setting.

The preschool children will benefit from goal-oriented, small group, personalized learning in the areas of art, music, math, science, large motor and pre-literacy presented through activities, games and learning centers. 

Preschool Lab has two session choices for 2022: morning (9:50-11:20 a.m.) and extended session (9:50 -1:35 p.m.). Tentative program dates are March 1 - May 25. Preschool Lab will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. 

The cost is $75 for the morning session or $100 for the extended session. Eligible preschool children are 3-5 years old and fully toilet-trained. Students with special needs should be served through the District 191 early childhood special education (ECSE) program.
