The two winners of the $2k gift cards were Elizabeth Stenson of North Lake Academy and Eliana Jacobson of Forest Lake Academy, the company said.
Stenson was nominated because "she has a beautiful heart and works extremely hard to build relationships with all of her students," the company shared. "Liz’s brain is always think about what we can do better as teachers or how we can make learning more fun for our students. She is the teacher who shares without thinking twice, and has put so much time and her own money into building a great reading program.”

Jacobson will be using the funds for books and flashlights for "Flashlight Fridays" in which students read under their desks. The company shared that she wants to have "a variety of books that any students can choose from based on their personal and unique interest. Students will be more likely to be successful in ELA skills with books they actually enjoy reading."
Genz-Ryan has given $53,000 to Twin Cities teachers since the launch of Classroom Cash in 2019.
