Burnsville Fire Muster, Day 5: Community Parade and Heart of the City Fun Run

Heart of the City Run/Walk

• Date: Sept. 9, 2012
• Time: 8 a.m.
• Location: 
• Details: The Heart of the City Half-marathon returns, in slightly altered form. The race is now a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk and 1K Kids Run. Proceeds from the run will benefit the Kids Feeding Kids Program. Anyone with questions can e-mail foreverfitu@gmail or go to www.active.com.

Community Worship Service

• Date: Sept. 9, 2012
• Time: 10:30 a.m.
• Location: Civic Center Park, Nicollet Ave. & 130th St.

MN Kite Society

• Date: Sept. 9, 2012
• Time: After the Worship Service.
• Location: Civic Center Park
• Details: From noon to 4 p.m. the MN Kite Society will be flying nine patriotic kites with an American flag attached.

Helicopter Rides

• Date: Sept. 9, 2012
• Time: Starting at noon.
• Location: On top of the hill, west of the Main Stage.
• Details: Rides are 8 to 9 minute rides, provided by MN Helicopters, Inc. 

Community Parade 

• Date: Sept. 9, 2012
• Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
• Location: Parking, restrooms and refreshments available after noon at 701 E. 130th Street.

Carnival

• Date: Sept. 8, 2012
• Time: Noon to 11 p.m.
• Location:Civic Center Park, Nicollet Ave. & 130th St.
• Details: Carnival ride tickets can be purchased at Cub Foods.

For those who want to give back to the community, the city will be collecting donations for the local food shelf all night long, near the Main Stage and Souvenir Tent.
