Burnsville Girl Contending for the Miss MN Valley Crown
Alissa Jones, 15, is contending for the queenship of the Miss MN Valley program.

A Burnsville belle is in the running for the 2012 Miss MN Valley Queen. This week, the officials with Miss MN Valley announced its contestants for this year's program: Among them was 15-year-old Alissa Jones, a sophomore at Apple Valley Senior High School.
She is the daughter of Teresa Lebaron and Keith Jones of Burnsville.

The Miss Mn Valley Scholarship Program is a relatively new organization. The non-profit was established in 2009 with the aim of providing scholarship money for 16- to 18-year-olds in the Minnesota Valley Region. The final selection will be announced during the coronation ceremony on is on Monday, August 6, at Cross of Peace Lutheran Church in Shakopee.
