Burnsville Man Arrested on Felony Drug Charges
Authorities seized 60 to 70 mature marijuana plants from Dylan James Swisher's home.

A Burnsville man has been charged with growing marijuana in his home with the intent to sell it after police confiscated 60 to 70 marijuana plants and growing equipment.
Dylan James Swisher, 22, was arrested at his home in the 1100 block of Travelers Trail East. He faces a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine on the felony charge.
According to the complaint, filed in Dakota County District Court, members of the Dakota County Drug Task Force and the Hennepin County Violent Offender Task Force executed a search warrant at Swisher’s home on April 27.

Officers seized 60 to 70 mature marijuana plants, along with 22 individually “debudded” marijuana plants, a blue plastic tub containing miscellaneous grow equipment, a power converter, a homemade grow box and a hydroponic grow light, the complaint says.
Drug agents also found paperwork and books that contained information on growing marijuana, as well as additional drug paraphernalia and “paperwork with drug notes,” according to the complaint.

The confiscated plants tested positive as marijuana. The total weight of the confiscated “shucked” marijuana was 965.5 grams, or more than 2 pounds.
Swisher was booked into the Dakota County Jail. No information was available about upcoming court appearances.
