Burnsville Mexican Restaurant Earns Spot On Cinco De Mayo Roundup

BURNSVILLE, MN — Residents in the Burnsville area who want to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with an authentic Mexican meal should check out Taqueria la Hacienda, according to Star Tribune food writers.

The restaurant has three locations. The Burnsville restaurant is located at 2000 Williams Drive. There are also locations in Richfield and Minneapolis.

According to Star Tribune writers Joy Summers and Sharyn Jackson, the owners originally set up shop in Mercado Central in 1999, but "Their stand quickly grew in popularity as fans discovered the beauty of this marinated, stacked, shaved meat," referencing the Al Pastor taco.

According to Taqueria la Hacienda's website, it has won three Best of the Twin Cities Awards for "Best Burrito," "Best Cheap Eats" and "Best Mexican Restaurant."
