Burnsville Wal-Mart Seeking Fireworks Permit from City

If the city grants approval, TNT Fireworks will be open from June 26 to July 27 in the Burnsville Wal-mart parking lot.

TNT Fireworks is looking to peddle its wares this year in the Burnsville Wal-Mart parking lot.

Wal-Mart is asking the city for a conditional use permit for its 12200 River Ridge Blvd. location between June 26 and July 7, the Star Tribune is reporting. The planning commission has recommended approval and the city council will make a decision at its meeting tonight.

If the city grants approval, fireworks will be sold at the stand between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

A spokesman for TNT said they only sell "safe and sane" fireworks, such as sparklers and ground-based fireworks that only send sparks up to 10 feet above earth, the paper reported.
