Construction Begins On I-35W Southbound Ramp Improvement Project

BURNSVILLE, MN — Construction of a roundabout at the southbound I-35E ramp and Cliff Road W began Monday, the city of Burnsville said.
The city-led $6.5 million "Cliff Road at I-35W South Ramp Improvement Project" is a partnership between the city, Dakota County and MnDOT, Burnsville said. The city said it secured $3 million of the costs through federal grants.
The remaining costs will be covered by the city and Dakota County, Burnsville said.

Construction will last until late August, the city said.
The project will improve existing sight lines and help with speed reduction distance in the area, Burnsville said.

Dupont Road will close between Lady Bird Lane N and Cliff Road W, according to the city. This portion of the road will be closed for two months, the city said.
