District 191 Seeks Public Input on Elementary Attendance Boundaries

The district's elementary school attendance boundaries haven't changed for 17 years, leading to socioeconomic inequalities, the district says.

District 191 is considering considering elementary school attendance boundaries and will be seeking public input during three upcoming meetings.

The Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District's boundaries have been unchanged since 1996, leading to inequalities.

"Some elementary schools are over capacity while others are underutilized," according to a statement on the district's website. "Also, demographics have changed with higher levels of poverty in some schools than others."
