Filing For ISD 191 School Board To Open Aug. 2

BURNSVILLE, MN — Filing for ISD 191's school board will open Aug. 2. It will remain open until 5 p.m. Aug. 16, the district said.

Four seats on the school board will be up for election-they are held by Abigail Alt, Lesley Chester, Scott Hume and Suad Said, the district said.

Each school board member term is four years, the district said.

This year's elections will take place Nov. 8.

Affidavits of candidacy will be available at Diamondhead Education Center, and must be filed in the school district clerk's office, according to the district.

There will be a filing fee of $2, the district said.

In order to run you must be eligible to vote in Minnesota, be at least 21 years old and be a ISD 191 residents for 30 days before the election, the district said.
