Get Out This Weekend, Burnsville
This weekend: Rock, swing, wine and lots and lot of dancing.

1. GB Leighton
Start the weekend off with some music from Twin Cities rockers, GB Leighton, a six-piece group headed by namesake Brian Leighton. The band has toured abd recorded extensively — with 10 CD releases to its credit. Right now, they're promoting their latest album, "Hope One Mile" which came out just this year. The band will perform at at 9:30 p.m. There is an $8 cover charge. The show is 21 plus only.
2. Dinner, Dance Lessons and a Big Band
Maybe a night of swing is more your speed. If so, you are in luck: This Friday, the Best Western Premier Nicollet Inn is hosting a night of 40's style dancing. For $12, guests will get a dance lesson and a chance to try out their new moves during a performance by Tim Patrick and his Blue Eyes Band. Dance lessons begin at 7 p.m. in the Ballroom, followed by the swing concert from 8 p.m. to 11.

3. We Gather Together
This is the final week of Chameleon Theatre Circle's fall play, described as a "cranky, charming comedy" with a twisting plot revolving around "elaborate deceptions, surprising revelations, and key lime pie." The play was a finalist in the company's 2010 New Play Contest. Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (62 and older) and students.
"We Gather Together" will play the Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. there will also be an afternoon showing on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

4. Blazettes Dance Team Invitational
On Saturday, the Burnsville High School Blazettes will host their third annual dance team invitational at Burnsville High School. Come watch the Blazettes in a massive dance off with 650 high school athletes from 19 schools and 31 teams compete in this early-season event.
The event is open to the public. It kicks off at 10:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
5. Wine Pairings for Thanksgiving Dinner
Haskell's will be hosting a free class this Saturday. Learn what wines go best with turkey, yams and other Thanksgiving staples. The class begins at 12:00 p.m. and runs to 3.
