Judge to Announce Verdict in Murder Case Against Burnsville Man

Jonas Grice pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in early October, but the court still must decide if he was mentally competent at the time.

The final word will soon arrive for Jonas Grice, a 28-year-old Burnsville man accused of killing Anthony Hartman, 22.

Prosecutors claim that Grice shot down Hartman in cold blood. Grice's defense contends that he was in the throes of paranoid schizophrenia at the time of the shooting, which occurred on July 12, 2010 at a carwash in Rosemount.

Tomorrow, Judge Karen Asphaug will announce her verdict at 9 a.m. at the courthouse in Hastings.
