Heart of the City Music Festival, Fun with Legos: Burnsville Weekend Planner

Friday

Flicks on the Bricks

Friday's night's flick at Nicollet Commons Park is Madagascar 3. Begin finding your seat at 7:30 p.m. for the movie, which starts at dusk.

Saturday

The Confident Woman

From the event page: "Through the course of the workshop we will address what motivates you to do what you do and how you can begin to live your life free from your inner critic."

The free workshop goes from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at 190 S. River Ridge Circle, Suite 208. Participates should bring pen and paper.

Legos and Duplos

This child-friendly activity is at the Burnhaven Library at 10 a.m. The focus is for children ages 2 to 12.

Buckthorn  Disposal

The city compost site is open this month for buckthorn disposal on Saturday and Sunday, July 27 and 28. Only buckthorn is accepted at the site, which is located next to the City archery range on 121st Street and Pleasant Avenue.

Buckthorn drop-off hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sunday

Visiting Angels Heart of the City Music Festival

School of Rock is the featured band on the last night of the festival series. It's a fun event for the whole family.

The event is free and goes from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m at Nicollet Commons Park. For more information, check out the event on the Burnsville Patch calendar.
