Burnsville Jersey Mike's To Donate March 30 Sales To Special Olympics

The donations will help over 100 Minnesota athletes attend the Special Olympics in Florida in June

BURNSVILLE, MN — Sandwich shop chain Jersey Mike's announced that its Minnesota locations, including the one in Burnsville, will donate 100 percent of their sales on March 30, "Day of Giving," to support the 2022 Special Olympic USA Games.

The donations will help over 100 Minnesota athletes attend the Special Olympics in Florida in June, Jersey Mike's said.

Jersey Mike's in Burnsville is located at 1404 County Road 42 W.

The chain said that this is the first time that 100 percent of its proceeds will go to a single cause.

"Day of Giving" falls in Jersey Mike's "Month of Giving" in March. Jersey Mike's said that it hopes to surpass last year's record-breaking total of $15 million.

Since the beginning of "Month of Giving" in 2011, Jersey Mike's said it has raised nearly $50 million for local charities.
