Burnsville resident Joyce (Lyon) Johnson, 78, passed away on Aug. 24, 2012. Joyce enjoyed life's simple pleasures, happily enjoying a sunny summer day and working in her kitchen. Her family describes her as "deeply appreciative of all her caregivers and their loving care."  She is survived by her husband, Walter; children, Cinder (Bert) Winkel, Cathy (Susan) Johnson, and Connie Sundvall; grandchild, Kendra Sundvall; siblings, Lloyd (Joyce) Layon and Elaine (Norman) Nikkola; sister-in-law, Sharon Layon and other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at White Funeral Home. The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers, to a charity of the donor's choice.
