Local Student Graduates from Falcon View Connections Academy

De’Jiah Wilson, of Burnsville, was among the more than thirty Falcon View Connections Academy students who recently received their high school diplomas as members of the statewide public virtual school’s Class of 2022.*

The students received their diplomas during an in-person commencement ceremony in Elmo on June 12th, which included speakers, members of the faculty and proud families and friends. De’Jiah was among the graduating seniors invited to speak during the ceremony. This is Falcon View Connections Academy’s second graduation since the school opened in 2019.

“Our students came to our school in search of a learning environment that met their individual needs, and we are so proud of our 2022 graduates and admire their determination to reach this important milestone,” said Falcon View Connections Academy Principal Anne Wasmund. “Even though we are a full-time online school, it’s wonderful to be able to host an in-person commencement and give these students the recognition they deserve.”

Falcon View Connections Academy 2022 graduates have many exciting future plans. Most students indicated they plan to continue their education at a two- or four-year college or university, such as Mankato State University, while others said they plan to enter the military or join the workforce and start their careers.

Falcon View Connections Academy provides students across Minnesota with the continuous support of highly skilled teachers and a curriculum that focuses on both academics and social-emotional learning. The school offers learning plans that are flexible and can be uniquely tailored to match a child’s needs and abilities.
