Man Hit By 3 Vehicles, Killed While Running From Crash: MSP
State Patrol said he initially crashed because he was driving the wrong way on I-35.
BURNSVILLE, MN — A Mankato man died Saturday afternoon after being hit by multiple vehicles while running from a wrong-way crash in Burnsville, according to Minnesota State Patrol.
Officials said that Austin John Grosam, 20, was driving the wrong way on I-35 near Crystal Lake Road. Grosam then hit a Lexus head-on and rolled onto the shoulder of the road, landing on its roof, according to State Patrol.
According to officials, Grosam then ran from the crash into oncoming traffic and was hit by a semi-truck and two other cars. He was pronounced dead at the scene, State Patrol said.

The driver of the Lexus sustained life threatening injuries and is being treated at Hennepin HealthCare - Minneapolis, officials said. None of the other drivers were injured during the multiple crashes, according to the report by State Patrol.
