Miss MN Valley Royalty Team Up to Save Labrador Litter

Saturday, Minnesota Valley royals hosted a carwash benefit in Shakopee for a labrador retriever and her seven pups, who narrowly escaped euthanasia last month.

This weekend, the Miss MN Valley princesses and queens traded their finery for some more practical duds. The girls staged a benefit carwash to help a female lab and her seven pups, that were close to being euthanized last month at a San Antonio, TX shelter.

The girls also lobbied for the pups via long-distance phone calls and e-mails to city officials and San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro to save the dogs. The dogs have been placed in a foster home temporarily, but they are still seeking "forever families," and money is needed to pay for veterinary bills and food costs.
