Motorists may experience delays as Hwy. 13 between Cliff Road and Yankee Doodle Road is reduced to a single lane Friday, July 27. At 6 p.m. southbound Hwy. 13 lanes will be closed and shifted to a single lane traveling on the northbound lanes. In addition northbound Hwy. 13 also will be reduced to a single lane. Intersections from the north also will be closed and detoured as well as ramps from Cedar Avenue to southbound Hwy. 13.  All lanes are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, July 30. The work is part of the 12-mile-long Hwy. 13 <a href="http://www.dot.state.mn.us/betterroads/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Better Roads</a> project. When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improved drainage and upgraded pedestrian crossings and signals that meet modern accessibility standards.
