New Fire Station To Open In November: Report

The new station is being built on Newton Avenue.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Burnsville's new fire station will be finished in November, Sun Thisweek reported.

The new station, being built on Newton Avenue, will replace Station 1 and cost $18.6 million, the publication reported.

After replacing the current Station 1, it will be one of two stations in Burnsville, the report said.

According to the report, the new station will come with "creature comforts" including living units with their own bathrooms, noise-insulating walls, a selective alarm system to only wake those who are needed, and much more.
