Nominations Open For ISD 191 John Coskran Volunteer Award

Nominations are due May 8.

BURNSVILLE, MN — Nominations are now open for the 2022 John Coskran Volunteer Award, ISD 191 said.

Nominations for the award are due May 8, the district said. Past winners cannot receive the award a second time, according to the district.

The award honors volunteers who work to "enhance student's educational experience and achievement and/or demonstrate the importance of volunteering and good citizenship," ISD 191 said.

According to the district, students, staff, community members and business people are eligible for the award. The winner is selected based on the effort, scope and impact of their service, the district said.

The award is named after former ISD 191 Board of Education member John Coskran, who was a former associate director of Catholic Charities and a long-time advocate for volunteerism, the district said.
